The iPad and Mac app built for fire investigators. Field documentation from scene to report — structured, defensible, and fast.
DocuFire is built around how investigators actually work — not how software engineers think they work.
Open DocuFire, tap New Case, and select Structure, Vehicle, or Vessel. Enter the address and basic case info. You're ready to document in under 60 seconds.
Work through each section at your own pace. Tap selections, type notes, dictate with your voice, photograph evidence, annotate diagrams with Apple Pencil, and collect signatures — all in one place.
Tap Export, choose your sections, and generate a formatted PDF field record. Share it to email, cloud storage, or print. Your organized documentation becomes the foundation for writing your investigative report.
Every screen from an actual investigation — 142 Maple Street, Springfield NY.
Built by a working CFI. Not a software team guessing what investigators need.
DocuFire started as a frustration. There are no dedicated native iPad or Mac apps for fire investigation documentation. The one or two tools that exist are web-based — not built for the field, not built for gloves, not built for how investigations actually happen.
DocuFire is built by a CFI, for fire investigators at every level — CFIs, CFEIs, fire marshals, and anyone who documents origin and cause for a living. Every field, every workflow, and every tap target is designed around real investigative work.
Structure, vehicle, and vessel investigation documentation is fully supported. Android and PC support on the roadmap.
Structure cases cover 18 sections. Vehicle and vessel cases add 6 dedicated sections plus shared documentation across witnesses, evidence, casualties, and more.
DocuFire is currently in TestFlight beta with investigators across the country. App Store launch is coming soon — join now and get early access before it goes public.
